Mary Jane Young
Mary Jane Young has nearly 20 years in accounting experience working with World Class CPA's and testifying experts in accounting malpractice, business valuations and fraud investigations. She has provided financial advisory services for closely held businesses for the purposes of mergers and acquisitions, stock valuations, gift and estate tax planning, corporate re-capitalization, purchase price allocations, valuation of intangible assets such as patents, trademarks, software, non-competition agreements and other proprietary technology for financial and tax reporting purposes.
Additionally, Mary Jane has valued companies and assets using income, market, and cost approaches by employing capitalization of earnings, discounted cash flows (DCF), comparable company modeling, and transaction analysis methods. Mary Jane's experience has also allowed her to perform valuations of intangible assets, such as goodwill, IPR&D, and other intangible assets using residual and cost approaches.
Mary Jane has worked behind the scenes in performing a variety of litigation support matters for Managing Directors, Business Owners and CFO's. She has performed financial and litigation damage computations for cases involving breach of contracts, divorces, lost earnings and business interruption. She has consulted for major corporations providing interpretations for the application corporate accounting policy for day-to-day operations and has developed and issued accounting policy for capital assets.
Mary Jane received her MBA with honors from Mississippi College and holds a degree in Accounting from Belhaven College.
